Photography for Portland's Nonprofits & Events
Fundraisers, galas, and community events run on real moments — a speaker connecting with the room, a participant crossing a finish line, a table full of people who showed up for a cause. I photograph them as they happen: candid, true-to-you coverage that shows what the day actually felt like, not a row of stiff grip-and-grins. My approach is simple: meet each organization where it is, and shape the coverage — and the arrangement — around what its event actually needs.
I'm a recurring photographer for ALS Northwest, covering the Starry Night Gala and Silver and Gold Gala, ALS Walks including Walk ALS Northwest and Walk Vancouver, and the Beers and Gears cycling event — and we're already planning 2027 events together. I've also photographed for the National MS Society, including Bike MS Oregon and MS walks. Organizers come back because they get coverage they can actually use: the speakers, the attendees, the details, and the moments in between, delivered as a gallery the organization can use for its own follow-up, thank-yous, and promotion. Turnaround is planned with you around your event calendar, based on the scope of the event.
Coverage is straightforward and priced by time, so it scales from a two-hour reception to a full day on the route. Travel is free within 30 miles of Portland, and travel beyond that is arranged case-by-case. Reduced rates for nonprofit organizations, worked out case by case.
